Default stock radio watts rms

Looking for power output on stock AM/FM receiver with CD. Wanted to replace the speakers and need to know how much power they need to handle. I'm sure I can get better sound from aftermarket speakers and maybe the wife won't blow them up again... 2007 Dodge Ram. looks just like the radio in my 2007 Chrysler

Not much - probably ten watts/channel. The Infinity system might be 20 or 25/ch. Usually it isn't the power that destroys speakers, it's the distortion.

thanks Mike. I was actually checking the watt on my 300 but couldn't figure out how to work the Chrysler site.
