Thinking about lowering my truck... easiest way?
Ok so I like lifted trucks but mine is 2wd and my wife already complains that it's hard for her to climb into it cause it's too high. Soooo, I am thinking about lowering my truck. It is a 2005 ram 1500 quad cab with leveling kit on the front currently.
What would be the best way to lower my truck front and back and have it pretty level and low? Tires are 285/70/17.

First thing i would do is change back to stock tire size of 245 70 17 or the 265 70 17 and remove the level lift. I have a 4x4 and with the 265 70 17's with nerf bars and my wife and daughter dont complain at all about getting in so that might be a starting point.
Well I plan to remove the leveling kit to bring it back to stock height but I do not want it to stay at stock height, and I don't like the look of nerf bars so that's not happening. I was looking at a lowering kit that drops the front 2" and the rear 4.5"... wondering if that would work with my current tires until I can get a smaller size tire, I just bought these tires new 2 months ago :/
With the tire size you have your probably going to have some issues with them rubbing. I would wait and do the lowering kit and tires all at once so you wont run any risks. I would hate to put the work into lowering it and find that your tires wont fit thats just my opinion.
