Hey all , my 07 Ram 5.7 has Ben having trouble starting right up , if it sits for like 30 mins it will crank longer than normal , If I cycle the key like 6 times it will not do it , I assume I'm losing prime pressure somewhere ? Any clue where to start on fixing this ?

 

Your fuel pump is going out.

 

Sounds like a fuel pump, to keep the cranking time down turn the key to the on position and wait a few seconds for the pump to catch up then try starting it. I've had to do this on other cars in the past.

 

Thanks for the responces, I kinda had a feeling this was the problem , when I search to buy one I get everywhere from 50 to 450 bucks for a new one , bah I Dont no what one to get

 

Denso or Delphi are usually recommended brands. Either way, DO NOT buy reman.
