I have a 2003 dodge ram 1500 4x4 slt with 4.7 that sometimes shuts off for no apparant reason when I'm just at idle or when I take my foot off the gas to turn a corner which sucks because I lose power steering and have a hard time not driving into the neighbors yard. also my wife has a durango with the 4.7 that will shut off sometimes for no reason too. anybody have a fix for this?

Sounds like what happened last time my EGR valve went out. I've got the 5.7, though. Interesting it is happening to both of your vehicles.
