I have 200,000 + on my 04.. So far outside of maintenance I have replaced..
1. Rear end…. posi clips they all go bad. On the 9.25
2. Fuze box corroded inside… were circuit board is
3. All front end parts upper and lower ball joints..tie rods
Rack and pinion… shocks
4. Alternator
5. Water pump
6. Front wheel bearings
7. Thermostat (with a jet 180)
8. Tail light circuit boards
9. Door lock activator passenger door
Truck still runs like new. doesn’t burn any oil and just passed smog with ease.
Trans is still strong too no signs of any slippage. I expect another 100,000 miles out of it and more.

I know I need shocks in the rear bad, I did my driver side wheel bearing a few months ago, did plugs last month. I just need to go through this list and cross em off as I go. Also what would cause my cruise to shut off whenever I hit a bump? Thanks for the advice take care.

your cruse control is going out because of the wheel bearing you replaced. most likely..that cable that goes to it,, runs the cruse control. give it a look.
