Default Blown tranny!!! Any suggestions?

I have a 2006 ram 2500 with a 5.9 Cummins. Just found out after 93,000 miles that my tranny is shot. Any help would be great. I know in in for at least $3000. Should I beef it up with after market ( ATS, Suncoast, BD Diesel) or just get a stock rebuild? Thanks in advance, this kind of news is always crappy.

Is your oil burner stock or got some work done to it? I'd say if it was stock not to bother with the really high end stuff. Maybe a heavy duty rebuild. If you've done things to it, then yeah you might want to pony up for some strength.

Judging by how the truck only has 93k, I'd say he has some stuff done to it. lol

Like Lonestar said, if you've got engine mods, which it sounds like you do, then pony up the extra cash for an upgraded trans.

Have you tried turning it off and back on again?

But in all seriousness, get a better trans. If you live in the northeast look into Noble High Performance. He is based in my hometown and will make you the best transmission around.
