Default Moe's 87mm TB

So I ordered the 87mm from Moes while it was on sale for $309
It was supposed to be here today, but FedEx put it on the wrong van. Go figure.
I drove the 22 miles to go pick it up, after playing phone tag with their customer service.

I installed it in the parking lot for fun, lol

So, previously I ran a 0-60mph on my Superchip with 2 occupants (Me and friend) and 140lbs of steel in the bed (Later found out at scrapyard) at 8.05s
After the TB install, I ran a 7.37s with the same friend and no steel in the bed.
Moral or the story, this upgrade took .7 seconds off my 0-60.

I did record all my runs but I'm waiting till I get the 4.56s installed later this month to do a final 0-60 and then I'll make a sick video of it

My truck weighed in at 6200lb even with 0 occupants.

List of performance mods before I'm asked:

Pacesetter Long Tube Headers
True duals with factory cats and 8" glasspacks, one out each side (side exit)
Flexalite 183 E-fan kit
Jet 180° Thermostat
Moe's 87mm TB
Custom Dual-Filter CAI
Superchips Flashpaq with custom transmission tuning
Throttle Body Ground
3.92 posi (for 2 more weeks lol)

It does have a 160 amp high output alternator that sucks down some power probably

Good mod but daayum someone was anxious to get it installed..haha

So you spent $300 on a T/B but have a DIY PVC intake? You should let Weedahoe custom make you one. They are seamless and ready for you to paint your color.

Throw a cute chick in the truck and do another 0-60 run and you'll be much closer to the original run ;-)

Ohh yeah, that 160 alt. They dont make the juice at 650rpm like a stock would believe it or not, they start around 8-900 with a big spike in power. You should bump up your idle up to 800 which is where they start to make all their power at unless you don't use a winch or stereo at idle?

Last but not least. Nice ride.

I had to read it twice to make sure, even I wasn't being stupid.

When you do bench mark tests the before and afters need to be exactly the same or they are pointless.
So the moral of the story is, your decrease in 0-60 time is a combination of less weight, and an increase in 2mm of intake space.

same road, same direction on road, same time of day, same temperature???

I like my PVC intake. It works as well as anything else, under the hood isn't viewed that often.

I want to bump my idle up but my chip always tells me it's unavailable. I'll see what the shop who installs the gears can adjust that. also, thank you sir
