Smile tires

Hey new to this forum and dodge trucks , have a 05 ram 1500 , whats the biggest tire ( for road ) I can put on the stock rims ? i heard I might need a small lift... Dont want to go to high... Im old... cant climb to far... thanks for your info, Mark from NJ

Welcome to DF! What size tires are you wanting, since you know you've already been told you might need a lift to fit them? Are you 4x4 or 2WD? If you are 4x4, you can crank the torsion bars 2" and gain the needed front end clearance for 35's. You can fit 33's stock (the 20" wheels have a 33" tire). I'm not sure about 2WD, however. Someone else should be able to help you with that one.

2wd with 305/50/20...probably about as wide as you want to go with stock 9" wide rim.
