My 2002 dodger am 1500 5.9 has been having some problems when i start and switch gears down to d quickly gets stuck in 1st gear and not even low gears work when i put it in drive slowly it starts in 2nd or 3rd not sure what should i try or do and whats the most economically way to fix it

 

46re has a solenoid and a speed sensor side by side under the pan.. you don't have to remove the valve body, but you do have to drop the pan and filter to swap them... that is most likely your problem... it's most likely your solenoid, but you might as well swap both of them while you're in there...
