Sorry if you misunderstood me but was I was trying to say was that I had no MAX HP gain.
My numbers in January were 277/310 before the tuner install. My numbers were 276.8/310 after the tuner install.
I had high hopes going to the dyno thinking my horsepower would have been in the 290 range.
See what I mean......

Ar far as ragging and trashing the engine, I disagree, I think that the engine can take it. Trust me I have almost 50,000 miles on my 04 and I drive it like I stole it. My last truck was a 97 SS/T and I put 110,000 miles on it and never had an engine problem.

Sorry about the mix up.
I'm certainly glad to here that the Dodges seem to be bullet proof.
I laughed my head off over your expression "I drive it like I stole it" ha ha ha.

BTW if you have stolen it, the guy will be coming after you as it's a great looking truck.

Abarmby,.

Make sure you post up after you get one, I'm sure you'll be as happy I was.

You will not believe the difference, especially shifting from 1st to 2nd.
The other thing I really liked about it was that it stopped the constant up shifting.
I just did a road trip from Virginia to Syracuse NY. It only upshifted once going up the mountains.
I had the cruse set to about 75 mph and I got 16.6 miles to the gallon.
A huge difference from the 13 mpg that I was used to.

Another mod I have that I really like is my muffler.
It's called Aero-Turbine, how it works and sound clips are at the website below.

For $300+ that dyno sheet shows how much of a waste of money programers are on gas engines.

That money would be much better spent on some sort of investment. Gamble on a cheap start up company stock, anything but wasting money on intakes, programmers......

Even the lottery could be a better investment

What settings did you use for this? Octane etc?
ORIGINAL: 5point7 hemi

I bought one and installed it 3 weeks ago. I am very happy with it and yes, the speed limiter is removed. You can set it up to 140 mph. I gave it a shot the other morning and went about 130-135 mph I'd say. (About and inch after the 120 mark)
The shift points are awsome, it throws you back into the seat when shifting from 1st to 2nd and 2nd to 3rd.
It also has a rev limiter that can go up to 6400 RPM's and an adjustment for tire size.
I also took it to the dyno and compared it to my stock run in Feburary. Though there was no Max horsepower gain the gains after 5300 RPM's is huge.
Take my advice and get one, you'll be smiling for weeks!!

close up

And yes, I bought it from Premier Truck Accesories. Thanks

S. Speed,

Performance mode. Speed limit =140 , Rev limit = 6200 rpm ,tire size 31.75

I set it for 91 Octane, but I use 93, thats all we have here, Superchips is promising to have a downloadable 93 octane program very soon. I'll dyno again as soon as I get it.

- p275/55R20 Goodyear eagle tires
- Aero-Turbine Muffler
- K&N replacement filter, stock air box

Those are my only mods and Its good enough for me.

Here is a solo shot;

That'll do for me! As for a waste of money as said above......well, if I wanted to save money, with gas at over $7.50 a gallon I'd buy a honda civic! But that ain't what were about eh.

I agree, don't knock it until you try it.
I'm quite sure that the guy bashing it, has not tried it.

Waist of money I think not! with the shift points and limiter and different performance settings is well worth it. There isnt anyway I think anyone can come in here and say they arent worth the money and someone listen... Just go look at the tons of post in the superchips section!
