I have a 2006 Ram 1500 with the 5.7 Hemi, 200000 kms. Recently it started shifting funny. It seems to get stuck in a gear and requires either "gunning" it or shifting into neutral and then back into drive to get it to shift. When it won't shift there seems to be a whistle, like you would hear from a turbo. I changed filters and oil and it shifted smooth for short time then back to trouble. Did some other work on the truck where I had the battery cables unhooked. Following that it shifted smooth for a while then back to hard shift. It seems to be something electronic but I haven't been able to find anything on here to check. If anyone has experienced this please let me know what I might look at to fix this. Thank you.
