Radio Panel Removal? 2005 1500
well if it is the same as 04, which i believe it is, there is a phillips head screw on pass side above the hook type thing, then it just pulls off. but dont take my word for sure on that with the 05. but thats how it is on my 04 slt ram 1500
I believe that hemiyellow is correct. I have an 05 SLT and it was just the one screw. After that there are some pins that snap into place, and should pop out without any excessive force.
REMOVAL
WARNING: On vehicles equipped with airbags, disable the airbag system before attempting any steering wheel, steering column, seat belt tensioner, or instrument panel component diagnosis or service. Disconnect and isolate the battery negative (ground) cable, then wait two minutes for the airbag system capacitor to discharge before performing further diagnosis or service. This is the only sure way to disable the airbag system. Failure to take the proper precautions could result in accidental airbag deployment and possible personal injury or death.
Disconnect and isolate the negative battery cable.
Remove the steering column opening cover (Refer to 23 - BODY/INSTRUMENT PANEL/STEERING COLUMN OPENING COVER - REMOVAL).
CAUTION: When servicing the instrument center bezel, use tape or another suitable material to protect the cup holder and ash receiver from cosmetic damage.
Open the ashtray and the cup holder.
Remove the screw (3) that secures the instrument panel center bezel (2) to the instrument panel (1).
Using a trim stick C-4755 or equivalent, disengage the retainer clips that secure the instrument panel center bezel to the instrument panel.
Disconnect the wire harness connectors and remove the center bezel from the vehicle.
