Default Does the front axle have bearings inside the tube?

I have a lot of play in the right front tire. When I hold the top and bottom of the tire it will move 1/4" back and forth like rocking. The movement seems to be where the axle goes into the tube. Sorry I don't know what the tube is called but no parts store even lists a bearing there. Any help would be great

If you are having "play" in the tire like that, your wheel hub bearings are shot.
Google wheel hub bearings for your Ram and there will be videos on checking and replacing.

That definitely sounds like the wheel bearings are bad. You have to change the entire hub assembly and make sure you get the 8-lug version (your garage shows a 2500). Also, I would suggest changing both sides at once as the other side is probably worn out too.
