My 2500 Ram Hemi 4x4 will very rarely downshifts from second to first when going up steeper inclines without stopping. If it does shift it is very rough. I have to let off the gas completely for about five seconds almost coming to a stop before it will downshift. If not on incline it shifts fine. I bought truck with 75K and now have 82K, and changed all trans filters and fluid at 80k. Upon buying truck the transmission fluid was bright red, and did not smell burnt. Tried searching this sight as well as the internet to no avail. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks.
