Default Vibrations/Grinding

Hello all, I have a 2002 Dodge ram 1500. Recently while on my way home from work, I got out of town, which has a speed of 45, and got on a highway with a speed of 60. I started accelerating, and when i hit 50, there was a strong vibration/ Grinding feeling that i could feel in the pedal that lasted until I hit 60, then went away completely. It was a rather strong vibration, and felt like it was a 'real deal' Kind of problem. Now, as far as I could tell, the vibration in the rest of the truck seemed very slight, if any at all from that. It goes away once I hit 60. I was told that it could be a fuel pump going bad, but I wanted to get some other opinions first

I didn't know a fuel pump could cause vibrations

My suggestion.....find a different mechanic if he told you that.

In the meantime, if you have vibrations at a certain speed but no others, go have your tires balanced.
