'04 Ram AC/heater blower/diverter issue
Working my way through some annoying issues on my '04 Ram. Next on my list is one I'd like some help on.
The blower diverter in my truck seems to have stopped working. Changing the position of the selector has no effect, and I can hear no sound coming from the diverter. I thought maybe I had suffered a broken diverter flap, but the fact that I can hear nothing when I turn the selector makes me think something else is wrong.
Blower works fine at all speeds, AC/heat are fine. Can't get any change in the diverter whatsoever.
So -- questions:
1) What is the best approach to testing? Testing the switch first, then the diverter, or the other way around?
2) What is the best way to test the switch? Or is it even a switch, actually?
3) What is the best way to test the diverter?
4) If the diverter motor turns out to be the issue, can I replace it without pulling the entire dash apart?
5) Is there somewhere else I should look first? I know I have a TIPM issue (or I've been told I do -- that's next on my list) but it affects only my trailer light harness as far as I know (the left trailer light line stays hot all the time).
I think this will do for a start; thanks in advance for any assistance.
Thanks,
Tony

This is the way I'm going to fix my recirculation door.

Just follow the navigation link to your truck.
They even have videos to help diagnose what your fault actually is.
Like the pos stock LSD in these Rams (especially the early year models), the HVAC systems in these trucks is pants!!
Hope this helps?
