my 2002ram 1500 Is making winding sounds from the rear end not sure what it is or what to look for

 

The important thing to know is if you have the factory LSD (limited slip differential)? But nothing can be offered for sure unless you pop the pumpkin cover and do a visual inspection. But whining is generally attributed to gear (ring & pinion) issues...
