Default driveshaft, U-joint problem

I changed my U-joint on Wednesday and now on Friday, It snapped and had to replace again, cant seem to figure out why other then when I got under It and looked around a little, my shocks seemed to be pretty shot, would that add extra pressure on the U-joint and cause it to malfunction or would it be something else.? also its the rear u-joint on a 2002 dodge ram 1500 5.9l class 2 just in case.

No,
Something else is going on-----you actually snapped the cross on the u-joint!!!!

Most likely a defective part, unless you bought the cheapest Chinese junk made or severely assembled it wrong. You might want to check the bearing bosses in the yokes to ensure they aren't cracked or anything like that.

You should replace the front one as well. Try precision u-joints.
