my check engine light is on again with the same code after I had it cleared off it came back.code po441 canister purge solenoid is bad.Can anyone tell me what would be the cause of this issue?I cant see to find it,.someone told me the gas cap I put a new gas cap on and that didn't fix the problem cause the code came back.

 

Cracked hoses on the canister could be the issue. It was for my 02 a few years back.

I just cut the lines back a bit and got a couple of trouble free years

Could be a bad Solenoid---it happens.

 

where is the canister located anyway so i can check it?

 

On my 05 its under the chassis behind the driver. hoses are typically the problem. Any leakage will throw the code.

 

ok well i looked under my truck and i cant see the hose guess i have to take that bracket off that holds the canister.i did feel the end of the hose near the canister and it feels like it has a break in it.
