no reverse 5.9 gas

Parked truck in garage, two days later no reverse. makes a cluncking sound like it is going in reverse but nothing happens, also will not show it is going in 1st on the display if you manualy pull it down. Never gave any warning. 03 1500 4x4. Any suggestions?, no codes.
