2006 Ram 2500 diesel extended cab w/sliding window.

Above and below the sliding window on the outside of the cab, are two panels about 3" high and the width of the window. The sun (I guess) has done a job on them and they are no longer shiny. I tried to buff them a little, but didn't do much.

Can they be Up?

Can I replace them?

I take care of the truck and these look lousy.

Any help will be appreciated.

I would recommend speaking with a parts department at a Dodge dealer. They will be able to confirm what part can be replaced and provide the specific part# for your RAM.

Mine has done the same thing. I have been looking for SS covers (like pillar covers) forever. If anyone has a option that would be greatly appreciated.

I talked to the people at the local body shop. They recommended I go to a sign shop and have them apply a piece of vinyl. I did go there and they put a piece of glossy vinyl on the "plates". You can't tell it from paint unless you really look. The bottom plate was not sanded and there is a faint shadow of the surface under the vinyl Sand them both smooth before application. The sign shop has dozens of colors to match. Should last for a few years and then I'll get it re-applied.
