I am currently helping a friend with his 2002 1500 ram. His dash cluster died and he purchased another from ebay, which seemed to work fine. But after a couple of days, every time he puts the key in the ignition the alarm goes off. He does not have a "chipped" key with his truck or a remote fob.
He's tried leaving the battery off for days, with no luck.
Is there anyway to disable this alarm system? Not sure it is fixable without replacing the cluster again(may have one that had all the upgraded alarm items?).

Truck did not come with alarm from the dealer/manufacturer.

So you need to find where it is at in the truck and disconnect it. If there are other power wires connectedsat the battery or PDC, try disconnecting them first
