Doing a rears brakes now in my 08 1500- Need help

Default Doing a rears brakes now in my 08 1500- Need help

I am having issue getting the caliper into place, any help asap would be awesome working on now, I just cant seem to get into place, any tricks???

If you havent done this already compress the caliper piston or pistons. You can use a c clamp or put it back on with the old brake pads and use a prybar betweent the piston and brake pad to force it back in. After this it should fit right back on with new pads

Don't forget to remove the cap to the brake fluid reservoir before compressing the piston. Doing so makes the job go quicker and easier.

Don't forget you also have to push the little black bellows where the slider bolt goes through. sometimes they stick out too far and you can't seat the caliper right.

It's a PITA trying to push both of those back in while trying to seat the caliper at the same time lol.
