Talking 2005 Ram 1500 flashing dash, won't start

I have a 2005 ram 1500 hemi, runs fine but when I stop, lock it then return my key fab won't work, the dash digital readings flash and the mileage flashes 141565 to 565 to 141 to 565. No battery activity. I can disconnect my battery wait 15 min and it will start, I have on occasion been able to turn my key from off to start several times fast motion and it will start.

Is your key black or grey? How many other keys do you have for this truck?

I would assume one of a few things are happening here:

1) key FOB has lost programming and needs to be reprogrammed by a dealer.

2) You are using the Vallet Key FOB

3) Your Keyless Entry/Security System is malfunctioning and locking out the ignition.

4) You have a bad ground causing bad battery connection

5) You have a bad battery, or a battery with a bad cell. (can happen even on new batteries)

6) Your Key FOB might have a low battery too

Those are the most common... some of which are easy to fix and some may require a trip to the dealer...

I would replace the battery in my key FOB, then try it again.

Also are you unlocking the door with the key? Or are you able to get the keyless entry to work and then enter the truck?

Does the Dash start flashing when you unlock the truck with the key or does it flash like that when you press buttons on the keyless entry remote?
