Default annoying squeak arrrrrr!

Got a 2006 ram 1500 quad cab 4x4 with 80,000 kms. Shes developed a squeak in the rear end somewhere I haven't been able to pin point. I hear it at low speeds like taking off from a red light. Noise doesn't get worse with speed. and if I throw it in neutral and coast it goes away. Any ideas guys cause im stumped.

It's usually the leaf springs due to the plastic slide separators between the leaves being worn/fell out.
Leaf springs are noted for their squeaking.
Refurbish the springs or blast them between the leaves with a silicone oil type spray usually quiets them down. But this is a quick temporary fix, because when it rains, the spray will get washed out.
Try it though and at least it should isolate your squeak for you.

All good info there While you're under there checking to see if it is the tip inserts take a look at your spring eye bushings, both front eye and rear eye of the springs. A lot of guys will come across bad bushings that just love making those great annoying noises!

Thx guys. I blasted the leaf springs and eye bushings with soap and water at tge car wassh and the squeak went away...go figure. I am starting to get a vibration somewhere in the driveline. Think i might got a ujoint problem. Anyone know of good after market ujoints. I do not want to get new garbage oem ones. Id like to get ujoints that are greaseable. Amy ideas?? Thx

i just went to a shop yesterday, pulled my driveshaft out in the parking lot and they replaced the rear ujoing with a greasable spicer ujoint. They took the old one out and put the new one in for me. ujoint plus installation ran me $31.

Sounds like u got the deal of the century. One U-joint costs about $30 for a quality spicer joint.

exactly what my truck sounded like before replacing ujoint
