When I bought my truck it didn't come with a key fob, aparently the previous owner had lost them. I found some on Ebay but I don't have any experience with this so is there anything in particular I should look for and how would I make it work with my truck or do I have to go to a dealer?

 

Dont go to dealer they are a ripoff big time I found a good local locksmith and they were able to get a dodge factory replacement key fob and program it for $200.00 . Dealer wanted twice as much. Call around

 

$200 is ridiculous. Shouldn't be more than $60 or so from a locksmith. Once you have one, you can add more for ~$17 each.

 

Not on Maui only so many capable locksmiths and tried ebay keys did not have good luck as stated before these are factory dodge key fob blanks

 

I have a 2003 key fob will that work on your truck? I saw some videos on programming the key fobs on YouTube you may be able to check out if this will work. I tried to program mine but it wouldn't work. The dealer said it's the wrong key fob. If I can get this want to work then I'll keep it if not you can have it PM PM me

 

The FCC numbers have to match. Also, you need a working fob to add a fob.

 

Ahh gotcha
