I have a 2003 2500 5.7 4x4 that I purchased few months ago. Transfer case is cooked (271D) . I found another on CL out of a 2007 3500 6.7 Diesel with 23K on it for $400. Looks to be the same guy does not know what model it is. Is it possible that it is the correct one?

 

If it is a manual transfer case then it should be a 271.
