Default Lowering of 2005 Dodge Ram Quad Cab

I own a 2005 Dodge Ram Quad Cab and I was wondering what is the best way to lower my truck. I want to lower the front by 2 inches and the rear by 3 inches. In regards to the rear axle, my springs sit directly on top. Any input would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.

I have a 04 ..

I use lowering springs... 2 inches... NOT 4 wheel drive. did not have to remove ball joints.
I use a Flip kit for rear... 4 inches...
I did this in 2004... truck had 500 miles on it.
also New shorter shocks.
every thing came from Summit Racing...
not one issue. just needed a front end alignment .. after I was finished.

See if a company makes drop spindles or steering knuckles for your truck. That will retain all the factory suspension/ steering geometry.
