issues issues issues
I just recently bought a 2006 ram 1500 Slt with the hemi. Couple days ago I shut the truck off and the parking lights didn't shut off (indicator lights, tail lights and gauge light). I unhooked the battery and the turned off and didnt do it again for a few days. The today I turned my head light switch fully to the right and my radio started turning on and off rapidly, Iturned the headlights off and the radio would start towork properly. Now I just went to shut the truck off pulled the key out of the ignition got out and rerealized the truck was still running with no key ! If some one could guide me to something that might be causing all these issue that would be great

TIPM stands for Totally Integrated Power Module. Yes it contains fuses, but it is mostly a computer that controls all the electrical for the truck. 2006 was the first year for it. They are prone to failure, and I don't know what causes them to fail. I know aftermarket accessories such as lights, amps, etc. are a no no unless they are hooked directly to the battery. The unit is located directly next to the battery. I just had mine replaced last summer, at a dealer for $750. I was under the impression that it had to be programmed by a dealer. Apparently, you can buy one from NAPA, and install it yourself. I would have it diagnosed by a dealer, then do the work yourself. Just make sure about warranty and returns. The dealer gave me a 1yr 12k warranty.
