Default Oil Pressure Needle Slow At Startup

When I first started driving this truck around 15,000 miles, the needle for oil pressure used to jump up really fast. I noticed that now (at 60000 miles) the needle doesn't jump up quickly to where it'd stay. It does go to the normal level but it does so at a slower speed. Is this normal or could there be an issue now? Perhaps I am just being paranoid about the whole thing.

Get a mechanical gauge and check to see what your true oil pressure is. The stock gauge is a dummy gauge. It reads normal as long as the pressure is in between a predetermined range. It doesn't show the true pressure.

Will it drop if you are running low on oil?

Only if the pressure drops below the specified "safe" range.

Hmm, lets say I get a gauge and get a pressure reading... What would be considered a "normal" reading for a 2007 2500 HEMI?

I know mine typically idles fully warmed up with around 50 psi.
