Misfire and no self idle
Hi,
I have a 2004 dodge ram 2500 hemi magnum. With no warning the truck started to stall at low idling, needs gas peddle help to keep running. I can hear misfire and also is delayed in acceleration. I have replaced the plugs and PVC valve. Still running the same. Tried to replace the EGR valve, but not there. A plate is their in it's place to cover the hole...mmm. Anyhow, what else could it be? I am thinking fuel injectors?

No EGR on it at all ? Did you buy the truck used ? Does the truck have a custom tune on it ? Like a Diablo or Bully Dog ?
Smayrand,
I just had the same problems with my 2003 Ram QC 5.7L, and I started throwing money at it. I replaced both O2 sensors, MAP sensor, PCV, IAT sensor, throttle body, and was about to replace the APPS (accelerator pedal position sensor). Before I did that though, I decided to reset the computer and see what would happen.
Well, it fixed all of the stumbling idle and dead pedal issues that I was having. Now I don't expect that it was just the reset that did it, I expect that one of the other parts was malfunctioning before the reset.
I had attempted a reset several times previously, with no luck. But I came to find out that I was using a Cummins reset procedure (which does not work with the Hemi).
The procedure for the Hemi does not involve depressing the accelerator at any point. Simply disconnect the negative battery cable for at least 90-seconds. Then reconnect. Then turn the ignition key to the "on" position for at least 10-seconds (do not start). Then turn key to the "off" position. Now start the vehicle and hopefully drive away happy!
Good Luck,
Carlos
