When I change the oil on my 2007 5.7 hemi I get the ticking. When the oil is old perhaps 2000 miles old, the tick is not there. I can't understand this. It is as if as though I need 2w 20w instead of 5w20. I run Mobil One synthetic. Should I change the kind of oil? What do you guys experience? Thnks from Mike

 

Try changing to Royal Purple or Pennzoil Ultra. Ultra is cheaper and I just switched to it. Seems like excellent oil! No ticking yet at all. Royal purple is good also but more expensive. I have read a lot of times that the tick is louder with Mobil One for whatever reason.
