funny hissing noise
So I noticed early in the year if I drove the truck thru a puddle it would start making a hissing noise I would spay some belt dressing on it and it would go away yesterday took it thru the car wash and it start making the hissing noise again but this time its not going away but it did got a little better but still hear could it be the clutch for the ac alternator?
Replaced the serpentine belt and the noise is gone the manual says to change every 15,000 miles it should be longer right? The wife has had the truck 4 years so I bet it was the original belt the truck has 80,,000 miles on it thx for the help you guys
The Engineers if you call them that...who wrote the manual are on crack.
It's a ploy to worry people so that Chrysler can sell more parts and dealers can make more on service.
It's just like Ford tells their owners that the Differential fluids in all their vehicles is goof for 100kmi...rofl. Yeah right, and I'm Eddie Murphy.
Most belts are good for about 3-4yr/50kmi. I will say that my belt only lasted 10kmi/3yrs, just like my battery.
