Default power steering leak

Long story short my 06 with 86k miles on it is leaking pretty good and I'm fairly certain it is coming from the rack and pinion. The power steering reservoir is way below the add mark. I haven't climbed under it yet due to the ICE/RAIN/SNOW we have had here in Maryland, but wanted to do some recon on here prior to doing that. Is there anything else that commonly goes on these to cause a slow but persistent leak? If it was a PS cooler I would think it would be a pretty rapid leak. If it was a line or something I would think it would be pretty quick too, unless it's just a poor crimp or something like that on the metal connector. Both of these I'm sure are easy to spot.

With that said if it is the rack and pinion like I suspect, is there a certain brand to go with? I've done some looking and the only one I've seen mentioned is a Dodge OEM part for the new vs rebuilt discussion. Thanks

common issue are the hoses that go from the pump and rack into the cooler. They are spring type clamps and leak. Most people replace them with worm gear clamps

My rack on my 2008 is leaking from the pass side boot. It only has 15kmi.

Boot leaks are common. This means the seals on the shaft ends are leaking.
