I have a weird issue with my radio in cold weather
I have an 06 Ram SLT BHE with the non-Infinity audio systen (just the normal 4 speaker system). When it's super cold out (5 deg and colder), the truck starts up just fine and all the accessories work normally except the radio. The radio itself will not turn on but the display is backlit and if you press the "Time" button, the clock appears on the display. However, the radio itself will not come on no matter what I do. I usually end up having to just deal with it, and let the truck warm up, then shut it off and turn it back on, then the radio will work. Anybody heard or dealt with this issue?
Electronics and cold weather=Not a great combo, especially when you are dealing with LCD screens or similar.
I would say your radio is going into some protection mode or cannot function properly in the frigid temps.
I've heard of this happeneing but it's not too common.
My aftermarket radio is very sloooow to power on and the screen is kind of funky for the first 10sec when its super cold out but it still powers on every time.

I'll get the TSB done.
