Default Truck bed rattles?

This has been doing this for a while, but I would like to finally figure out what it is and how to fix it. My bed almost sound loose. When I hit bumps, something in the rear of the truck rattles around briefly. Anyone have any ideas? Thanks.

I had a rattle with the rear of mine and have located that the bushings in the shocks are worn out so it rattles..maybe take a look at that?

I think you may be on to something here. My friend has the same truck and his does it as well. The shocks are original from 2004 so it's a good possibility.

p38251- Ill check all these as well, but it seems like the whole back of the truck, not just an item.

There are bushings that mount the bed to the frame of the truck as well.... and they can go bad and cause rattling... but it's not very common unless you are near a lot of salt water (live near the beach, or launch a boat often...)

Ok good news. I had my wife bounce on the bumper while i crawed under and looked. I found the bushings in the rear shocks to be shot. SO.... I need new shocks. I found a set of 4 KYB on ebay for $150, which seems like a good price. Anyone have any input? I was also considering lowering the truck some. It's an 04 QC 2wd so I would like to atleast lower the rear to level it out. What's the best way to do this?

I always thought you could just replace those bushings.... no?

Anyways... go with some bilstein shocks in the rear and you'll thank yourself multiple times in the near future

I guess I could just do bushings, but the shocks are 10 years old and prob need replaced anyway. I did bilsteins on my corvette, they are a bit pricey for the truck I think.

What do you guys think about using stock size shocks with a 2" shackle kit on the rear? It would be cheap, but would it ruin the ride quality?
