power steering leak what type of fluid?

Default power steering leak what type of fluid?

my power steering is leaking I need a new pump but until I can fix it what type of fluid should I get cause its low since its leaking .also how hard is it to change the pump yourself?looks like I would have to take the belt off to change it.

It should be in your owners manual, possibly on the cap to the power steering pump. I think it is dexron 3 atf but don't quote me on that.

ATF +4 (tranny fluid).

Yup....it's the same as in your auto transmission.

As said already, ATF4

Pump is not hard to change. 3 bolts through the pulley (14mm or 15mm I think) hold it in place.
