New Nissan Commercial?!?!
Have you guys seen it??? It says the Titan has 305 horses power. WTF is up with that? And those trucks stock can beat our stock??? Give me a break...I know this is an old topic, but honestly WTF???
4835 lbs. for a x-cab XE Titan with the 305 HP V-8 vs. a single cab w/HEMI @ 4976 lbs. or the 4 dr. @ 5015 lbs. The difference between the Titan and the 4 dr. Ram is 180 lbs, or about the weight of 1 passenger. I also dont see how it could beat a HEMI equipped RAM with 40 more HP than it? But as I have said before, I have yet to run across a Titan owner that is willing to race me anyway so what do I know.
I originally went looking at nissan titans and the salesman kept saying that it would take a dodge off the line, but from a roll or midway, the ram would win. I still favor the ram regardless, especially with these stats
My brother just graduated from the Nissan Tech school here in OK and he said that on a dyno the HP & TQ were about 30 more than what Nissan states. I was kinda shocked an then I saw it for myself when I went down to visit. They're pushing right about 335 hp.
I went and looked at the Nissan Titans the other day for the S&G of it. I looked under the rear bumper and almost laughed myself home when I saw how small the rear diff was and thier ingenious finned aluminum diff cover to help out with the diffs overheating and tanking in those trucks. The only thing I was impressed with was the rear seat. Man was it nice. Now I'm just waiting to see the new MegaCab. Hope it isn't as ugly in person.
I test drove the Titan before buying my new Dodge and the power output is really really really good. I honestly think its very comparable to the Hemi. The Titan auto tranny always keeps the engine in the powerband and my test drive vehicle had really high gearing. I dont know what Nissan is doing but its 305hp makes the Ford 300hp feel like a V6. Obviously I still like my Dodge better cuz thats what I went with
Yeah, my brother's F-150 Crewcab with 5.4 feels anemic. About the same as a Quad Ram with the 4.7L engine. Quite sad that such a big automaker has dropped the ball on so many vehicles. Good thing there is always fleet sales.
