Hi Everyone! I am looking for information on Box switching. I trashed my Christmas present from my Hubby last Wednesday. Hit black ice & turfed it in the ditch hard. Took out drivers & passenger sides. Have already bought replacement mirrors & tail lights. I am looking for a new box for my truck (as well as a multitude of other parts). LOL. I have a picture of what it looked like before the crash. It's an '08 short box. What years can I swap with? I have a guy offering me a 2010 box that is same color as my truck. Any info you have to share would be greatly appreciated. Unfortunately I didn't have full coverage on it so everything I do is out of pocket. Had my body man in Town take a look at it & he figures there's $10,000 damages. I have at least come up with a name for the truck. It is going to be dubbed "Frankenbeast" with the numbers 666 underneath that. The reason for the name is Franken: it's a dented mess, Beast & 666: the last three digits on my odometer when I crashed were 666! Left me wondering just how superstitious I really am. I believe you can fit an 02-08 on your truck, I looked at Dick's Auto Parts who is known for new bed take-offs, but all he had was a dually for that year range. You might try car-parts.com too
