Default Truck starts sometimes and not others

While driving to work three weeks ago my truck sputtered out, died and wouldn't start back up. After a little troubleshooting we changed the fuel pump and everything was working fine. Two weeks later the truck had been running perfect and after driving it all day making multiple stops and restarts it would just crank and never fire up. We decided to change the crankshaft position sensor and still nothing. We hooked a code reader to it and it showed a low voltage code so i swapped the battery and it started right up. Ran fine for a couple days and then this morning it just cranked but never fired up. Then when I got home from work it started right up. Any advice is appreciated.

It could still be related to the fuel pump. Maybe a bad connection along the line that was jostled when you replaced it, and now has failed again. You need to check for pressure on the fuel rail.

Yea that's what my plan is when I get a day off this weekend. I was also told it might be time to change spark plugs so I might do both. Thanks

Bad coil maybe?

Have you checked for spark on all cylinders already?

You should also test fuel pressure at the rails and see where you're at.

sounds like it could be The fuel pump relay They get old and get corrosion on then and don't always make contact when Curcuit Closes
