Drive modes
I was looking at pictures of some used 3rd gen Hemi 4x4's and noticed that the transfer case switch control is a little different than what I am accustomed to seeing. The switch had options for 2WD, 4LOCK, and 4LO.
I am used to seeing 2HI, 4HI, and 4LO. I know 2HI is used on normal paved dry roads, 4HI would be used for driving in snow or more adverse conditions and usually has a max speed of 45-55mph and doesn't change transfer case gears to increase torque, and 4LO engages TC gears for moving at low speeds pulling, heavy loads and/or getting unstuck.
So simple question, is 4LOCK the same thing as 4HI or are there differences?
