Default 2007 1500 Alt bearing replacement

Can the bearing be changed on the alternator or do you have to replace the alt...Anyone know the bearing #'s if they can be replaced...Thanks

Take it out and have it rebuilt. You'll be without it for maybe a day, but that should be cheaper.

You can take the bearing out and have it matched up at NAPA. They carry hundreds of different bearings.

Do a youtube search and there's numerous videos how to take apart an alternator. There are tricks to hold brushes in place.

I have rebuilt many alts...I just like to have parts in hand when I start...thanks.....I will just take apart and post when I get done...

I replaced the bearings in mine for 10.00 total skf bb1-0602a
