Go get a spark plug anti fowler spacer. Drill it out and tap it for the size thread of the o2 sensor and it will trick the computer into thinking the cat is working. This works because only a small amount of gasses goes to the o2, it then fools it to think the cat is working.

They work on some trucks, but not all. You can get the anti-foulers at Auto Zone in the help section. They did not work on my truck but it was a 5.7. Its cheap to try so go for it. Add a little 000 steel wool to the anti-foulers. This seems to make it work a little better, if it's working at all

My friend had an 04 also, and his worked fine. Mine was an 06 and it just never did work right

usually i think they recommend two non foulers, i had to use three connected to each other because of it being a 5.7, its been close to a year and no cel and rides fine which is just as important

I've got a DIY in that section on non-foulers. I've done it on probably a dozen or so vehicles, haven't had it not work yet, although I did have to add steel wool on a couple of them...
