Default New member, with a question

Hey everyone,

sorry for the quick start, I just found the site and I'm trying to track down some information.

I'm wondering if the 16in 3 spoke aluminum rims from a 2000 RAM 1500 will fit on my 02 1500 that currently has the 20in wheels??

I've got a great deal on a set of snow tires that will have the same OD as the 20in tire, but they fit on the 16in rim.

Thanks for your help.

A search here will, I believe, find other responses to similar questions. As I recall the issue seems to be clearance between the smaller wheel and brake calipers. It seems that some have reported some wheels just clearing and others not... some that won't can be made to fit with some judicious grinding of the calipers.

Overall, a doubtful fit, but 17's are typically fine.

Sorry I cannot be more specific, but maybe this will help until someone else chimes in.

And, welcome aboard!

All the best.
