Power window issue. Yeah I Know Not again
I know I'm beating a dead horse here but...
Well I did the search thing and found the DIY fix thread. I figured WOW there is my problem. So , today being kinda nice out I took the door panel off and checked the harness. Nope no pinched, cut , or broken wires there. Moved to the switch, checked the plug and connectors , all seem good. Lets check the window lock button for broken solder joint. This is what I found--- The Driver switch which controls all windows has a burned connection. I am assuming that is why none of my windows will work but my locks and mirrors work fine. What years and models switches will work?
Its a 2003 quad cab Laramie SLT 5.9 If that matters.

The "burn" is just carbon from the switch arcing. All mine had that when I took it apart to re-solder the lockout switch. Get some contact cleaner and a couple of emery boards. Unless the contact is burned completely away, you should be good (after you fix the broken solder connections).
Thanks, I just went to get a switch from a guy on Craigslist and his switch did the same thing mine Does. Then I must have blown the fuse messing with it. (it was good yesterday) Going to check the L/O switch this time. I stopped last time when I saw the contacts on the master window switch.
