my driveway is at a pretty good slope. One day i opened my door to get out and it slipped out of my hands and opened very hard and I must of bent something, because when I went to close the door the gap that seperates the door from the front panel was no more, and I bent in a piece of the front panel as well as the door. I am going to try to fix this myself but I do not know how to remove the driver side door of a 2002 ram 1500. Can anyone help? Also any tips or pointers would be appreciated. Thanks in advanced.

 

You can download the '03 and '04 Service Manuals from hemitruckclub. com which should tell you step-by-step how to remove and install about anything. Usually not much difference year to year on a lot of procedures. The '04 (which I downloaded for my '05) was about a 2800 page pdf file, as I recall, so it's a pretty big download if using dial-up.

all you should have to do is disconnect the electrical connector which is in the rubber boot and the connector is on the a-pillar side just below the top hinge, and you'll need a 90 degree pick or something of the sort to make it easier to remove because it's clipped into the spot where it is, and then just unbolt the door and you should be done, hope this helps
