Default Trans problem, 2005, 1500 (545RFE?)

Please help with Trans problem. 2005 1500 Ram (545RFE trans?) I had the code P0740 and changed fluid and filter. Code came back. I changed the TCC solenoid and it was fine for two days before it started slipping and acting up again. I have recieved codes P0841, P0876, P0740 & P0700. Any suggestions? Should i change the fluid and filters again. I am new to this great forum and any help will be appreciated. I will contribute!

If you changed the fluid and filters and days later are asking if you need to change it again then you have other more mechanical issues that will require someone more skilled in transmissions (I.E. Rebuild) and with those codes you are getting, you should be looking for a replacement or rebuild. Sorry bud.

All of those codes have the potential to be caused by a short circuit on the main transmission harness or VERY low transmission fluid level.... OR due to catastrophic transmission failure... I wouldn't drive the truck anymore until you fix those codes....

You will likely need to drop the transmission pan, and open the Torque Converter in order to check for any metal shavings (or more likely parts of gears)....

But definitely check your harnesses for damage... I would highly suggest you bring that thing into a transmission shop and/or dealer to really determine what the problem is.

The most probable (and I hate to be the one to give you bad news) is that your transmission let go and you need a full rebuild (or new transmission and torque converter)....
