Default which 1500 to get

OK guys I have bout 1000 dollars left on my truck to pay off n was thinking bout trading it in for a newer ram 1500, only question is which year? Sooo iI was wondering which 1500 has the fewest problems n can be upgraded the most. In other words if u could choose any ram 1500 which would it be

Why would you trade, if it's paid for. My 2cents. Keep it for a few years. Save cash, buy one out right.

I don't want the 4.7, its only 2wd, n the rear end needs to be rebuilt

my 07 is paid off in a week, bought it when i was 18 now im 22, its a 1500 4x4 hemi, i would like to get somthing newer, but im very much looking forward to being debt free and looking at buying a house, not sure whag year your truck is but i have had great luck with my 07 been a awesome truck, besides the new auburn in the rear end i have only done general repaires, brakes ext

Yeah, I can see why you'd want the 5.7 and 4x4, both are really nice. Personally I like the 05's as the 03's and early 04's have weak valve springs (which you can replace), and the 06-08's have mds which I don't particularly like, although some guys do. I also don't like the headlights or taillights on the 06-08's, just my opinion though. A lot of people think the interiors are nicer on the 06-08's, so a tradeoff i guess. All the years have their quirks, if you can find a good deal on a well taken care of truck with the right mileage, I wouldn't let the year stop you from buying it.
