03 OEM RAS Radio Issues
Im hoping someone can help me with this. I've been checking online and have tried most everything regarding my issue. When I bought my truck a year ago I noticed my radio would cut out after raising the volume to 23. I thought this whole time it was my radio. I never did anything as it wasn't that big a deal until one day it just cut out completely, so I went ahead and got the same RAS radio to replace my current one. No luck, same thing, but I did notice the previous owner must've had an aftermarket radio in some time as the cables were cut super short. So, I bought a new harness and rewired the whole thing. Still no sound. I took it to another level buy purchasing the same OEM model amplifier, and still nothing. I took it to the dealer and they told me the radio was bad, but when I put it on my friends truck it worked fine. I checked all the fuses and they all look good. Has anyone had a similar issue in which they fixed.
So, it seems I am the only one with this issue. I'll post the results as soon as I can figure out what the F is wrong. Sucks to drive and listen to Pandora on my crappy smartphone.
If anyone has run into this issue please post.

Most likely the amp's cutting out due to clipping. The speakers may be presenting too little impedance to the amp. It's also possible the amp doesn't have enough power to drive the speakers. Why didn't you just get an after-market unit? They're usually better quality, higher output and more features.
BTW, there's no way this is a fuse problem.

My 08' Nitro R/T has the infinity system and from time to time the volume stops working!! Everything functions but the volume!! I've found that a lot of the Dodge makes have the same radio issues!! Wish Dodge would replace or recall the infinity head units!!
Chinsster, do you have the 4 speaker (non-infinity) system or the 7 speaker (infinity) system?
Pretty simple really and I'm going to assume you have the 7 speaker setup. If it isn't the radio then it is the amp.
