Default rear u joint issues

Hey I have an 07 2500 with the 5.9 cummins. I put a 2.5 inch lift in it and running 35's. Other than that the truck is stock, but Ive gone through at least 3 U joints on the rear end of the rear driveshaft. Any Ideas how to correct this? Was thinking that shimming the rear end to tilt a little upwards to take some of the angle of that u joint out might help. Any Idea what size shims would be used to correct the angle there?

that shouldn't cause angle issues. Are you using quality u-joints? Are you getting any vibration in the seat? Poss out of balance drive shaft. Is the center bearing in good shape. (If it has one)

No center bearing. And the front is joint in the rear shaft seems to be fine. Had the driveshaft balanced last fall. First joint I put in was from universal parts the second two were moog heavy duty greaseables.

If the front has not been replaced, I would do that one as well. I have always had good luck with NAPA precision. They are alot like Spicer joints.

I'm not sure if the front has been replaced. Its actually my dad's truck. But I do know that one is fine. Not loose at all...

Replace them in pairs. Get it balanced. And make certain the driveshaft is in phase. Check your angle at both joints. Should be close to equal.

do the angle thing. too much angle can cause them to wear out quickly. my ford back in the 80's did the same thing due to the lift I did to it. any good 4x4 shop can help you out on that.
